Week Nine: The Law of Relativity — Sometimes the Hardest Seasons Teach Us the Most
I’ll be honest…
This week’s Universal Law hit me a little differently.
Because if there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s this:
Perspective changes everything.
Not overnight.
Not magically.
But slowly, sometimes quietly…
In ways we don’t fully understand until we look back.
This week, we’re diving into The Law of Relativity—the idea that our experiences gain meaning through perspective, comparison, and context.
And if I’m being real, this law has helped me through some difficult moments.
✨ Sometimes Life Feels Heavy
We all go through seasons that stretch us.
Moments where things feel unfair.
Moments where we question ourselves.
Moments where we wonder:
“Why is this happening?”
I think we’ve all had times where life feels heavier than expected.
And in those moments, perspective is usually the last thing we want to hear about.
Because when you’re in it…
you’re just trying to get through it.
I understand that.
✨ But Looking Back… Things Often Make More Sense
Have you ever looked back at a difficult season and realized:
“Wow… that actually changed me.”
Maybe not in the moment.
Maybe not while you were living it.
But eventually, something shifts.
The heartbreak teaches resilience.
The setback redirects your path.
The disappointment helps clarify what actually matters.
And suddenly, the thing that once felt impossible to understand…
Becomes part of your growth story.
✨ We Don’t Always See the Full Picture While We’re Living It
This is something I come back to often.
Sometimes we are too close to the struggle to understand its purpose.
We compare ourselves to others.
We wonder why things seem easier for someone else.
We question our timing.
But the truth is:
We rarely see the whole picture.
We compare our hardest moments to someone else’s highlight reel.
And that comparison can quietly steal our peace.
✨ What If This Season Is Doing More Than You Realize?
This question has helped me many times:
What if this season is shaping me in ways I can’t yet see?
What if the challenge isn’t here to break you…
But to build something stronger within you?
More patience.
More wisdom.
More clarity.
More trust in yourself.
Sometimes growth feels uncomfortable before it feels meaningful.
✨ Gratitude Doesn’t Mean Ignoring Hard Things
I want to be clear about something.
Perspective does not mean pretending difficult things aren’t difficult.
Hard seasons are real.
Pain is real.
Disappointment is real.
But gratitude can exist alongside hard moments.
You can acknowledge what hurts…
While also recognizing:
- What you’ve survived
- How far you’ve come
- What life may quietly be teaching you
That balance matters.
✨ You Are Allowed to Be a Work in Progress
If you’re in a hard season right now, I want to remind you of something:
This moment is not your forever.
You are allowed to struggle and still be growing.
You are allowed to not have all the answers.
You are allowed to trust that clarity may come later.
Because sometimes the things we understand most deeply…
Are the things we first had to live through.
🌿 Bringing It Back to You
The Law of Relativity invites us to pause and gently ask:
What if there’s more happening here than I can currently see?
Not from a place of forced positivity.
But from curiosity.
Because perspective has a way of softening the edges of difficult moments.
And sometimes…
That softness is enough to help us keep going.
✨ A Simple Practice for This Week
When something feels difficult, ask yourself:
“What might this be helping me become?”
Not because you need to have the answer right away.
But because asking the question creates space.
And sometimes space is where healing begins.
✨ Reflection for the Week
- What challenge in my life looks different when I view it through compassion?
- Where have I been comparing myself unfairly?
- What strength have I gained from past seasons I once thought would break me?
Remember:
Some seasons are meant to grow you.
Even when you don’t fully understand them yet.
🌙 Looking Ahead
Next week, we’ll explore The Law of Polarity—
and how life’s opposites often exist closer together than we realize.
Because sometimes…
The very thing stretching you today…
Is standing right beside the version of you that’s growing stronger.
Maybe this week isn’t asking you to have all the answers.
Maybe it’s simply asking you to trust:
Your perspective can change your experience. 🌿✨
